Parhessia is designed to help individuals affected by speech impairment communicate more easily with others. We provide a high-tech communication tool that helps clarify speech in individuals with Cerebral Palsy. Parhessia has applications in professional and every-day life.​

Problem

Communication is one of the greatest challenges facing individuals with CP, and speech impediments can exacerbate this problem. Currently available Augmentative Communication Devices on the market are both expensive and offer limited functionality, mostly not useful for CP, which is why there is a need for a tool that covers both of these limitations.​​

Solution

Our new tool addresses this essential need by translating vaguely-sounding speech into clear and intelligible, artificially-synthesized verbal form.

This allows users to clearly communicate with those around them engaging in informative, directive and expressive discourse.​

This survey is regarding a translation tool that can translate unclear/slurred speech into understandable language. The tool has been specifically designed and developed for persons with a speech impediment. This tool comes in the format of an app for smartphones/smartwatches and will also be made available in the form of a personalized mount for those with severe disabilities who are unable to easily use their hands. This technology is different from existing technologies in the market and will have high accuracy.
